Bestar is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of ready-to-assemble home office and home entertainment furniture. Its head office and manufacturing facility are located in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, Canada. The company started by making the first ready-to-assemble furniture in Canada — a small bookcase to hold encyclopedias. The encyclopedias were sold door-to-door. When a customer purchased a set, the bookcase was given as a free gift!
Over the years, Bestar developed the habit of being first in many aspects of its business. In 1991, Bestar was the first company in the ready-to-assemble (RTA) industry to introduce thermofused melamine work surfaces, an industry standard for durability.
Today Bestar offers a great selection of office and home entertainment furniture including TV stands, home entertainment centers, and modular desk systems.
We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

I have been away and so haven't had an opportunity to call. I requested the correct Cherry colored cabinet to be mailed after acknowledgement that the prior one was the wrong color. . . this replacement is the same WRONG color. I am not certain how to proceed at this point. Please contact me.

Good quality and style. Drawers catch and wont open properly despite several adjustments. VERY difficult to assemble (I shop all the time at [...]so i've put together quite a few things) - i ignored the other reviews, but I have to say they were right. One is still sitting in a box because I dread putting it together.

Saw somewhere, someone thought the assemble was difficult. Untrue. I tried to set the feet that the file sits on high, to keep it up off the floor. Overstressed the wood and it creacked. That was ok, cause I bought some casters at the hardware store so I could when the file around. It makes it easier to move if needed. I only wish that the drawers accomidated the files in 2 rows front to back. As it is, the files are set in one row side to side. All in All I would most likely purchase this file again.

The item should contain an express warning about how difficult it is to assemble; I bought mine almost two months ago and, after two futile attempts to assemble it on my own, am now waiting for a contractor friend to give me a helping hand. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about: I bought a file cabinet from a different maker about 3 years ago and that one was a piece of cake.
