Bestar is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of ready-to-assemble home office and home entertainment furniture. Its head office and manufacturing facility are located in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, Canada. The company started by making the first ready-to-assemble furniture in Canada — a small bookcase to hold encyclopedias. The encyclopedias were sold door-to-door. When a customer purchased a set, the bookcase was given as a free gift!
Over the years, Bestar developed the habit of being first in many aspects of its business. In 1991, Bestar was the first company in the ready-to-assemble (RTA) industry to introduce thermofused melamine work surfaces, an industry standard for durability.
Today Bestar offers a great selection of office and home entertainment furniture including TV stands, home entertainment centers, and modular desk systems.
We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

Comments about Bestar Lateral File:
I purchased this file cabinet to replace another lateral file cabinet. This one has smaller drawers, so I am unable to place letter-size files side by side -- less room for my letter-size files. However, the cabinet is much sturdier, and I like the caster under the bottom drawer for stability. The previous file cabinet had the runners already installed, so it was a bit of a challenge figuring out how to install the runners on the sides of the drawers -- instructions could have more clear or the drawer sides could have been labeled "right" and "left".

Very roomy. Extremely heavy. Although I tend to knock the bar off that holds the other end of the hanging file (it adjusts to legal size) if I'm not paying attention.
